Turkington confirmed as Hartley Wintney FC joint manager

Hartley Wintney FC are delighted to announce Daniel Turkington as first team co-manager alongside existing club manager Anthony Millerick, with Dan beginning his new role with immediate effect.

Dan, who managed Camberley Town during one of their most successful spells, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the club, having rivaled Hartley over a sustained period of time, most notably during the Row's Championship-winning seasons of 2015/16 and 2016/17.

Despite spending a season away from direct involvement in football, Turkington has stayed highly involved in the game, watching an abundance of step three, four and step five games, a level of football of which the 35 year old has a plethora of knowledge; this will stand Hartley in good stead as we prepare for our biggest challenge yet in the Southern Premier League.

"Turks is somebody I have the upmost respect for, both as a rival and as somebody who has watched opposition for us over the last 12 months, and as somebody I grew up with," said Millerick. "I trust his opinion and I'm very much looking forward to working with him."

Dan is also relishing the opportunity of returning to the dugout and helping the Hampshire club with their progression.
"It's great to be back in the hot seat with a club that has done amazingly well in recent times. I can't wait to get going, especially being alongside my old friend Millers in the dugout."

The announcement of Turkington as joint first team manager sees Hartley complete their new-look management team for the upcoming season, with experienced trio Sam Rafique, Keith Benjamin and Mark Hurst having already been announced as joining Millerick and Luke Tuffs on the Hartley coaching setup.
