Hartley Wintney FC are delighted to announce the signing of striker Adam Cornell. Adam scored on his debut for the club in the league game at Yate Town last night.
Hartley Wintney Manager, Anthony Millerick, was pleased to finally land a player that had been a long term target of the club, having been a big part of a prolific Bracknell Town side that made the step 4 play-off finals last season.
Talking of the signing just before the midweek trip to Yate, Millerick said “32 year old Adam has been in and around the level for a number of years and his experience and know-how will be vital as we look to balance the squad.”
Adam hadn’t played since Bracknell’s play-off final in May, until a run-out with Hartley Wintney’s Reserve Team on Saturday. “After scoring for the reserves on Saturday, Adam joins youngsters Dean Rule and Mickel Platt who have done very well in their short time with us, as well as the returning Michael Campbell, to give us more strength in depth across our forward line,” Millers added.

Notes to editors: Picture to follow - the speed of Adam's inclusion in the squad beat our 'media department' on this occasion, but we felt the need to at least make the announcement.
Michael Campbell's re-introduction has been delayed due to registration formalities.
