The Row welcomes Leo Hamblin from Woking FC

A slightly belated welcome to full-back Leo Hamblin, who has joined us initially on a short-term loan from Woking FC. Leo has come in at left-back as cover for the injured Tom Bird, and has already featured against Weston Super Mare and Beaconsfield Town.
The Row manager, Anthony Millerick, is pleased to have been able to bring in the academy graduate, who will be 19 at the end of October. He signed his first senior contract with Woking a year ago and went on to impress in the 2020/21 National League season, which led to the offer of a professional contract with Woking in late June this year. He made ten league appearances last season - including a standout substitute appearance at Eastleigh, where the ten-man Cards earned a point and clean sheet.
“Leo was a player we saw last year playing for Woking U23s against our 23s,” Millers explained. “We were impressed at the time and felt he could easily make the step up into senior football - he actually did that last season, playing 10 times in the Conference.
“Leo grew and grew into the game at Weston, and took the game to his opposite full-back during the second half. He’s another player who doesn't seem to fluster easily. Like Tom Bird, he is also capable of playing centre-back, which will give us a few more options going into our busy period.”
Welcome Leo, we hope you enjoy your time with us.
